Quail & Other Gamebirds
We started out in the game bird business by producing coturnix quail eggs for the gormet food market and grown birds that were sold to dog trainers and hobbyists. We also bred bobwhite quail that were marketed to hunting clubs, other producers to revitalize bloodlines, and to hobbyists. We eventually became interested in breeding some of the fancier quail which has been very enjoyable. The following notes pertain to how we keep and breed Valley Quail, Gambel's, Benson, Scaled and Mountain Quail. We also have a number of breeds of the bobwhite, including the Tennessee Reds, and we're getting into Mearns quail.
